Has there been any movement to getting Oomph to not conflict with JQuery beyond 1.3.2?

Perhaps someone has made the adjustments in their own code but not felt it appropriate to share with the group yet.

I can provide a sample of the conflict, if necessary.

If you download the latest source from : http://oomph.codeplex.com/SourceControl/changeset/changes/28126 It has the oomph.min.js in the "consume/client" folder. Copy the "client" folder to where "firstRun.html" is located and then change the reference in the html file to point to the right place and it will work fine. Just had it running on my system beautifully, with gleam and everything. Let me know if you need anymore help or i can send you a zip of it working

same on my side. spent some time to know for sure now that nothing here works anymore right out of the box. although the toolbar is loaded in my IE8, this green tag left top does not appear. the testpage does not work either, my browser tools tell me that

https://visitmix.com/labs/oomph/2.0/client/oomph.min.js

is not loaded, obviously this file has been removed from the server. Too bad, maybe some of the people on this project find the time to help us outin the dark out.

It would be a tragedy if this had died . You can still download the files to your own server but the exporting to outlook, or other client (the killer feature for me) doesn't seem to work. I cant find anything else that exports directly without installing a plug-in. I used to work beautifully, it really impressed my boss, but now I can't implement it.

Hi,

I made use of the ASP.NET Microformats Control in a expermental website and faced the following limitations. It would be great if they are fixed so that the toolkit can be used productively.

1. No control over the Display of data. The data is displayed as it is from the xml tags. There should be a mechanism to display it in a professional way.
2. Option to hide the xml contents but have it grabbed by the Oomph overlay. This will make sense since the data on the page can be formatted to look similar but it is actually the hidden tags that have been grabbed by oomph overlay.
3. No provision to enter the start time and end time in the hCalendar control. This is very important and it also give the exact timings of the event in the vCalendar file for Outlook. Inability to give this data shows a different time in the Oomph overlay and it is not correct.
4. The sentence "This control is particularly handy to use when programmatically creating microformatted content, aka populating pages with contacts from a database." says it all. But no example to show how to do this programatically. May an example, how to pull data from database, or xml file or external datasource and display it on the Oomph overlay will be more helpful.

Hope that this will be attended to so that there will be more usage for using Oomph ASP.NET Microformats control on a wide scale.

The IE add-on and browser scripts look pretty interesting but I can't get any of it to work. Running Win7/IE8 and tested on FF 3.6 and Safari 4.04 and nothing fun happens! The gleam does not show in any of these. Hopefully I am missing something very simple. Thanks in advance.

I noticed that the jquery files are placed at a secure location that is erring out with a 404. I also noted that if I remove the s from HTTPS, it works fine. Is there any reason why we need the script file in a secure location? It causes browser warnings on any page that uses it.

I find OOMPH a valuable tool however it keeps coming up with “Oops, an error occurred while processing your request.” when clicking on the Outlook icon.
OS: VISTA 32bit home premium up-to-date.

A couple of items here:

1. No vcard tel fields appear in the oomph box.
2. Consistent error with mac and pc vcard downloads (attached)
3. Yahoo import of Vcard only imports name, website

Ive localized all the JS, CSS, and image files to my local (and secured) website.

However I seem unable to avoid the pop-up asking me if I want to load content from an unsecured website.
Is there any advice on how best to use this on an SSL page?

I discovered a bug in your Wordpress plugin with another plugin - Inline Editor. Inline Editor allows you to edit a posting with a rich test menubar without having to go to the admin pages.

I'm fairly sure that the bug is only with your plugin because I am testing a configuration and I have a number of plugins in the mix. I went through a debug process of deactivating most of the plugins until Inline Editor worked and then reactivating them one or two at a time until it stopped working.

I hope you have time to fix this because I like your plugin using it wold be part of evangelizing micro formats.

added closing div -- this was being taken care of by WLW for me which is why I didn't catch it
